 I have to apologize - I missed parts of the opening as my machine repair guy was online with me.

We started with;

Word of the Day- Pontificate  https://www.merriam-webster.com/word-of-the-day

Yiddish Word – Yom Kippur:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T1eAcJlkxiU

What Day Is It: https://nationaldaycalendar.com/what-day-is-it/

Elaine G. talked about kreplach.  She said that she uses the recipe in Second Helpings or the food processor book.  Then she talked about the Jewish connection to kreplach (which are also known in other cultures by different names).

 I found the below link from Chabad with info about when kreplach are eaten and why.

 https://www.chabad.org/library/article_cdo/aid/1638318/jewish/What-Are-Kreplach.htm

And a humourous song about Kreplach:

We listened to a version of  Untaneh Tokef, in advance of Yom Kippur.

And ended with an other version of Achat Sha'alti which is sung until the end of Sukkot:
